The HP Prodesk G2 400 is a refurbished prebuilt computer I purchased from eBay for £25, I received it on the 30th of May 2025. The difference between the specs and now was it came with 8GB of RAM, no Wifi Dongle, no GPU and no OS. I received a Wifi dongle the next day, I aquired an additional stick of 8GB of RAM on the 6th of June 2025, and as for the GPU that arrived on the 10th of June 2025. I initially installed Linux Mint, but I've had issues regarding installing programs, I later tried Pop OS and that was a far better experience. For now, because I use creative suite applications such as Vegas Pro I will remain on Windows 10 however I'm getting comfortable with using Pop OS installed on my USB Flash Drive.

Seagate BarraCuda 500GB 3.5" 7200 RPM HDD
The HDD came with this refurbished prebuilt, and I find it sufficient for my needs. You may have noticed my last device, the Geopad 110, came with an SSD. However, the SSD of the Geopad 110 could not compensate for its poor specs. I can deal with waiting a few extra seconds for a program to load, what I can't deal with is lag because more than 3 browser tabs were open.
I believe SSDs are most suited for those who play modern video games, as the huge file size can make it quite difficult for HDDs to load the relevant data in a timely manner (resulting in missing textures). I don't play video games, regardless of era, so I'm unconcerned about the speed. |

I like this case. I'm not a fan of RGB lights or side-case panels for various reasons.

From 2022 to 2025, I was using the Geopad110. The dual core processor and 4GB of RAM, combined with Windows 10 (I downgraded it from 11) is not sufficent for 2020s standards. The strange part about this device was Linux (Mint, Pop OS, Fedora) had display issues which I couldn't resolve.
